Sean Sullivan brings extensive football experience and knowledge of the domestic game, having secured all major local honours during his playing career.
In 1996, Sean Sullivan joined Valletta FC, becoming part of the squad that won five cups (League, Trophy, Lowenbrau, Super 5, and Super Cup). In the 1998-99 season, he was loaned to Floriana FC until the end of the season. In the summer of 1999, he returned to Valletta FC, where he remained until 2006, making a total of 159 appearances. During the 2000/2001 season, he was part of the squad that achieved a clean sweep of six cups, including the Premier League, FA Trophy, Centenary Cup, Lowenbrau, Super 5, and Super Cup.
In the summer of 2006, Sean joined Birkirkara FC, making a total of 9 appearances for the Stripes. In 2007, he transferred to Hamrun Spartans, making 18 appearances over two years.
Throughout his career, Sean Sullivan was also part of the U-18 and U-21 National squads and made three appearances with the National Squad. During the 2009 transfer market, Sean returned to Valletta FC as a goalkeeper coach, training the Citizens’ goalkeepers until the end of the 2010 season.
During the 2023/24 season, Sean Sullivan joined Floriana Football Club as Technical Director. In August 2024, he rejoined Valletta Football Club as Team Manager.
