Valletta vs Sirens

After beating Gudja United 3-0 last week, Valletta registered another 3-0 win, defeating Sirens at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.

A win which puts Enzo Potenza’s side in ninth place, one behind Balzan.

Sirens, on the other hand, remain anchored at the bottom of the table together with Gudja United.

The Citizens forged ahead on the 26th minute when off a Shaun Dimech cross from the left, Diego Cardoso Nogueira headed the ball home past goalkeeper Andrea Cassar.

Diego Cardoso Nogueira doubled the score twelve minutes in the second half when he beat a defender on the run and lobbed the ball over the Sirens goalkeeper.

Shaun Dimech sealed the issue with a third goal six minutes from time, beating Andrea Cassar with a diagonal shot from the left.
