Goalkeeper Jake Galea joins Valletta FC
Valletta FC have announced the signing of Malta goalkeeper Jake Galea.
The former Malta international spent the past 12 months playing his trade in Luxembourg where he was on the books of FC Etzella Etterbruck but his contract was not renewed at the end of last season.
The acquisition of Galea is seen as a great coup for the capital club as the 27-year-old has always been rated as one of the best goalkeepers on the island.
Galea has a lot of experience in Premier League football as prior to his move to Luxembourg he had spells at St Andrews, Ħamrun Spartans, Sliema Wanderers and Balzan FC.
At Valletta FC he will replace Italian goalkeeper Alessandro Guarnone who earlier on Thursday announced that his stay at Valletta FC has come to an end.
