Name: Gerard
Surname: Ellul
Role: Team Manager
Date of Birth: 5th March 1970

Joined Valletta: June 2011
A key member of the coaching staff both on the training pitch and behind the scenes,  Gerard joined Valletta FC in June 2011 under the helm of coach Jesmond Zerafa.

Born in Attard, Gerard or as he is called for short Jerry, started his administration role with Vittoriosa Stars FC, where he helped this club to turn into a competitive club during the 14 years he made administrating and managing the team of Vittoriosa. During all these years with the help of all the colleagues that worked with him throughout these years, the Vittoriosa team was transformed into a very competitive with all limitations that small clubs have and reaching the peak of playing in Premier league for the first time last season 2010/12. During this period Jerry was one of the most important people to achieve this success.

When contacted from the Valletta coach and president to form part of the Technical Staff in the role of Team Manager last May, Jerry could not say no to the post that arose which he describe as  “The Dream of all administrators involved in Maltese football”. Although it was not an easy decision for him to leave the club that he was born in, but even more he could not resist the temptation to be part of the Valletta FC team.

Jerry is very happy doing the job for the Lilly Whites and although the job is tough, he do not mind doing it. This is the job that he wants to do for as more as he can with Valletta FC. Jerry tends to stay out of the limelight, but can be found at first-team, youth and     Nursery matches alike – providing an important and hugely positive influence on the Valletta’s players and staff.
