Steve Borg joined Valletta FC in 2009. During his stay with the Citizens he made 282 appearances for Valletta FC and won 5 Premier League titles amongst many other honours.
In 2020 he signed a five-year contract with Gzira United. In the same year he won the MFA Player of the Year award for his performances with Valletta in the previous season.
In 2022, Borg joined Hamrun Spartans. Later he was also appointed club captain and won three league titles and two Super Cup honours.
