23-year-old Marcus Simmons was born in Canada but has Guyanese citizenship, and last May he even attracted the attention of national coach Jamaal Shabazz, who invited him to a training camp.
In 2022 Simmons signed a professional contract and debuted with the main squad of FC Edmonton, while last January he was transferred to Vancouver Whitecaps FC where he managed to play five times in the Canadian Premier League .
