Valletta Football Club has been one of the most active clubs during the Summer transfer window.
The Citizens kicked-off the transfer market by appointingd Gilbert Agius as coach following the departure of Andre Paus. Darren Abdilla was appointed as assistant coach while Italian Marco Caser was appointed as physical trainer.
Goalkeeper Nicky Vella returned back with Valletta and signed a five-year deal while defender Luke Dimech signed a one-year contract with the Lilywhites. Australian born midfielder Adrian Zahra also joined the club and signed a two-year contract.
The club also made these latest signings:
Portughese midfielder Hugo Faria from Kalloni FC (Greece), Defender Hamdan Al Kamali from United Arab Emirates and striker Raphael Kooh Sohna from Cameroon. During season 2013-14, Raphael played with Pieta Hotspurs.
Strikers Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza and Samir Arab joined Balzan on loan, midfielder Dyson Falzon joined Mosta on loan. Midfielder Edmond (Mundu) Agius left the club and joined Birkirkara. International defender Steve Borg left Valletta and joined Platinum Stars in Africa, the towering defender signed a two-year deal.
