Valletta FC claimed a 2-0 win over Mgarr United in their first-ever meeting during a Challenge League match at the MFA Centenary Stadium. Brandon Paiber opened the scoring in the 4th minute, followed by Zachary Cassar’s goal in the 33rd minute. The match saw a turning point in the 38th minute when Romanian striker Andrei Ciolacu received a red card, reducing Valletta to 10 men.

Mgarr’s struggles were compounded when Matthew Attard was sent off in the 85th minute. Valletta controlled the game with superior possession and more goal-scoring opportunities, reinforcing their status as strong contenders in the league standings.
