Championship Pool Day 26: Valletta vs Floriana
The BOV Championship Pool resumes tomorrow with more matches. Champions Valletta meet arch rivals Floriana at 17:00hrs. Last Monday the Citizens won three important points against Birkirkara. Valletta were one goal down after 14 minutes but bounced back and won the encounter 4-1.
Valletta are currently second with 36 points, one point less than leaders Hibernians. Floriana are currently at the bottom of the BOV Championship pool table. During their last match the Greens failed to obtain the three points against Hibernians 0-2. Floriana are still searching for their first positive result in the Championship Pool.
Valletta welcome back goalkeeper Andrew Hogg, Paulo Massaro is missing for tomorrow’s match. The Brazilian striker was substituted early during last Monday’s match after twisting his ankle. Midfielder Stefan Giglio started training with the squad this week and could form part of the Citizens substitutes for tomorrow’s match.
During the last match played between the two teams last month, both teams shared the spoils in a goalless result.
