Club Statement: Challenge Cup Final – Update on Ticketing & Venue

Valletta FC would like to inform its members and supporters that tickets for the BOV Challenge Cup Final have sold out in under 30 minutes. We are deeply moved by the overwhelming show of support—but equally disappointed that some fans were left without the opportunity to be there in person.

In light of this unprecedented demand, the Club formally requested a change to both the date and venue of the final to allow for a larger attendance and a more fitting stage for such an important occasion.

As per competition rules, any such change requires the mutual consent of both finalist clubs. Regrettably, this consent was not granted and the original arrangements will therefore stand.

While this situation is beyond our control, Valletta FC strongly believes that a cup final should be staged in a venue that reflects the magnitude of the event and the passion of its supporters.

We understand the frustration of those who could not secure a ticket. For those unable to attend, the match will be streamed live on the Malta FA’s official YouTube channel.

We thank our fans for their incredible support and look forward to your continued encouragement as we aim to bring this trophy home.
