Valletta FC Statement on Alessandro Guarnone

Valletta FC is deeply concerned about the condition of former goalkeeper Alessandro Guarnone, following the unfortunate incident during last Sunday’s match. In the 21st minute of the second half, Alessandro was involved in a serious collision with a Vado player, resulting in a significant injury. He is currently receiving intensive care at Voghera Hospital, where he is being closely monitored by medical professionals.
Our entire club stands united in support of Alessandro during this challenging time. We know him to be a serious, resilient and determined athlete—a true lion on and off the pitch—and we hope that his fighting spirit will carry him through to a full recovery.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Alessandro, his family, and his loved ones. We extend our heartfelt wishes for his strength and healing, and we look forward to seeing him back stronger than ever before.
