Valletta started the match very well and managed to score three goals in the first half.
After only 12 minutes Valletta, Mushagalusa from a personal action opened the scored with a shot from the edge of the box that was deflected into the net for 1-0.
At the 33rd minute, Valletta managed to double their lead when Mushagalusa was brought down in the box with referee Joseph Scerri ordering a penalty. From the spot, Andrei Ciolacu scored.
At the 45th minute, Valletta added another, a shot by Mushagalusa that seemed to go into the hands of goalkeeper Bonnici but Andrei Ciolacu diverted the ball to make it 3-0.
Three minutes from the opening of the second half, Valletta added another when James Scicluna’s shot gave Luke Bonnici no chance to save.
In the 66th minute, a personal action by substitute Aidan Friggieri sent a shot from outside the big box that ended up in the corner of the roof of the net.
Five minutes from the end of the game, Valletta sealed the victory with a header, by Christian Gauci who made the score 6-0.
