Maximiliano Alejandro Velasco was born on June 19, 1990 in Villa María, province of Córdoba, Argentina. He plays as a striker. He started his first international experience with Universidad San Martín.
Maximiliano started his career with the minor divisions at Newell's Old Boys and debuted with the leprous team on June 10, 2011 against Olimpo in Bahia Blanca. Velasco was then loaned to Talleres de Córdoba in mid-2012. With the 'Tallarín', Velasco won the title of the Argentine Tournament A 2012/13. He played a total of twenty-two matches and scored six goals. After passing through Barrio Jardín, the attacker was loaned to Sportivo Belgrano, where he played 31 games and scored four goals. San Martín de Tucumán was his last team before his arrival in Santa Anita. With the Albino Tucumano Velasco played twelve games and scored seven goals.
The most important goal in the short race of Velasco was on the 9th day of the Argentine Tournament A 2012/13. His team, Talleres, received San Jorge de Tucumán. The Cordovan box was a victory enough to ascend directly to the Primera B Nacional. Velasco scored the goal of the promotion at 50 'and lived a historic night for Talleres.
Maximiliano Velasco travelled to Peru to play the Decentralized against the impossibility of playing in the top division of Argentine football. scored his first goal in a 2-1 loss to Sporting Cristal.
On December 10, 2015 Maximiliano joined Deportivo Municipal as a reinforcement for the 2016 season of Peruvian football and the Copa Sudamericana. Maximiliano Velasco completed a good season playing 42 matches, including both Copa Sudamericana matches, and scoring 14 goals in the local tournament, becoming his top scorer of the year.
Maximiliano Velasco joined Valletta FC in January 2017.
