Stefan Giglio is a product of his home town Valletta.
After his experience in the Valletta youth teams, Stefan Giglio joined the first team in 1994, and was one of the pillars in the Valletta team for six seasons.
He played 125 matches scoring 35 goals for Valletta, before having a spell in Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia.
He also played for their rivals Lokomotiv Sofia on loan, before returning to Malta were he had a four-year spell with Sliema, scoring 24 goals in 79 matches.
In 2007 Stefan Giglio re-joined his first love Valletta. In 2010 Stefan joined Qormi on loan. During season 2011-2012 Stefan joined Tarxien Rainbows. During the following season Giglio joined Balzan and in 2013 he joined Zurrieq. Stefan joined Valletta FC in April 2019 as an assistant coach.
