Shaun Bajada joins Valletta FC Published on: 09-08-2012

Valletta and Birkirkara FC today concluded the negotiations over the transfer of international Gozitan midfielder Shaun Bajada.

The 28 year old midfielder is expected to sign a five year contract with the Citizens later on.

A product of the Floriana FC, Bajada made his debut in the Premier Division back in the 2000-2001 season, when he was only 17 years old.

Bajada spent four seasons with Floriana FC, making no less than 48 appearances and scoring three goals for the 'Greens' before he was transferred to Marsaxlokk.

Shaun joined Marsaxlokk on January 22nd 2005 making a total of 43 appearances and scoring six goals. In January 2007, Shaun was loaned out to Msida SJ till the end of the same season, he made 11 appearances and scored one goal.

During the Summer Transfer Market of 2007, Shaun Bajada joined Birkirkara FC.

Shaun used to form part of the Under 16 National Squad, Under 19 National Squad and then the Under 21 National Squad. In the season 2007-2008 he eventually joined the senior National squad. Bajada made 106 appearances with the Stripes and scored a total of 17 goals.

In season 2009-10, Shaun Bajada was voted M.F.A. footballer of the year.
