Preview: 20th Match vs Hamrun Spartans Published on: 25-01-2013

This is the third last game from the second round. A game that makes us meet Hamrun Spartans. Valletta are currently in the first place with 39 points, one point over Hibernians, while Hamrun are 10th with 16 points.

On their last outing Hamrun had a heavy defeat (1-6) against Hibs, in a game where they played nothing less than 5 under 19's players. Presently the Spartans are passing through a transition period, where they are giving more space to their home grown nursery players.

In the first round game against the Spartans during the end of September, Valletta scored eight times against Hamrun, Michael Mifsud  our prolific scorer Mifsud scored a double hatrick.

Our coach Miller has to face Hamrun without our international midfielder, captain Rodrick Briffa, as he got injured last Tuesday in training with a muscular injury. All other players are available for the Gaffer with exception of Denni which is ruled out due to suspension. This game might be the league debut of Daniel Bogdanovic with the Lillywhites after the club signed the Maltese International for two and a half years earlier this week.

Although these days the weather temperature is low, we still believe that all our supporters will be there behind us as usual. We will be waiting to hear your support and cheering us with your chants and being our twelfth player as always.
