Valletta vs St Andrews

A goal by Enmy Pena Beltre handed Valletta their eighth win in nine matches as they defeated St. Andrews 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday. The Citizens therefore stay two points behind leaders Gzira United.

Valletta coach Danilo Doncic named Jean Borg, Bogdan Gavrila and Kyrian Nwoko in the starting line-up as Joseph Zerafa was suspended, Raid Ibrahim Saleh was among the subsitutes and Bojan Kaljevic was not fully fit.

The Saints, on the other hand, had four changes from their last outing as Kevyn Mcfarlane, Kevaughn Atkinson, Dejan Debono and Matthew Woo Ling replaced Joseph Farrugia, Amoy Brown, Aidan Friggieri and Kurt Magro.

Enmy Pena Beltre scored the all-important goal on the 75th minute.
